Originally a traditional drink from Japan and China, the green tea leaves are now also bestsellers in Europe and North America. Its sensation has swept over millions of people from all over the world. Majority of the Asian countries grow the plant that is known as the Camellia sinensis. What is more interesting is the fact that the green tea and the black tea both come from the same plant. The difference lies on the process employed in drying them.
In the course of the process of creating green tea, the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant are plucked and readily heated or steamed. The leaves are dried then. Compared to other types of tea, the green tea leaves are submitted into a lesser method of processing so that makes it retain the natural components.
